1.The installation of the PCMCIA-interfaced WLAN card.
(1) Suitable for: Windows98¡BMe¡B2000¡BXP.

2.The setting of the PCMCIA-interfaced WLAN card.
(1) Disable WEP.
(2) The SSID (or ESSID) set to " hinet ".   
(Notice: "hinet " should be lower case words.)

3.The setting of Notebook.
(1) Enable DHCP.(that automatically assigns IP addresses to client stations.)
(2) Disable PROXY.(Microsoft IE -> tool-> Internet setting)
(3) Never dial-up connection.(Microsoft IE -> tool-> Internet settings)

4.The steps of using WLAN. 
(1) Make sure the WLAN card is installed and setup successfully.
(2) Power notebook / PDA on.
(3) Open the browser (IE / Netscape) ,then you can see the WLAN homepage.
(4) Click "Start" on the WLAN homepage to begin the WLAN service.
(5) Enter your HiNet Prepaid Card account ( ID and password ) in the WLAN authentication page.
(6) After authenticated successfully, you can access the internet and see the GLOBECOM 2002 official website while another logout window is also pop-up.

5.How to logout WLAN service?
(1) To end WLAN service, please click "logout" in the 
logout pop-up window.
(2) Close your computer after logout is done.

6.What should I do if I lose my account and password of the HiNet Prepaid Card?
Please keep your HiNet Prepaid Card properly. In case of loss, we won't reissue the card and please purchase a new HiNet Prepaid Card at the information service center.The favored price of each 500-point HiNet Prepaid Card is NTD 300.
