Network V.O.D Service |
| The V.O.D services will help you to view some sessions you're not able to attend,
or to review some sessions in which you'll learn more when viewing the second time. The services
will include opening, plenary keynotes, 50-th anniversary special session and workshops. GLOBECOM 2002 will have these video taped sessions available on our website starting the day after the event being held, and will limited the viewing right to only those who registered for GLOBECOM 2002, and open to all people three months later. Wireless Access Service |

For your convenience, GLOBECOM 2002 will support all participants with wireless access services.
You'll have unlimited environment and feel completely free as the cable vanishes. This service
will be available as long as you bring you own notebook here. We will give you free rental for
wireless LAN card and 500 free points as the initial access. For more detail please refer to our
website under "Electronic Facility Support".

Wireless Projector Trial |

The wireless projector trial service comes with IEEE 802.11b wireless LAN capability.
With it, the speaker can project the screen of his notebook computer without physically
connecting to a projector by a VGA cable. Thus, you no longer have to worry about passing
the VGA cable from speaker to speaker. The trial service will be available only used at Room 202 and 203 sections on Nov. 18. The traditional wired-service which directly connects VGA from your notebook will also be provided. The speaker can choose wireless or wired presentation as he wishes.

WAP enables mobile devices, such as mobile phones or PDAs, to access specially designed information or services on the Internet. Location Based Services (LBS) is an ability to pinpoint the location of a mobile caller in transit. It can provides users needing location information. |

Broadband Multimedia Payphone service |
| In order to provide broadband multimedia services to all the conferee, Chunghwa Telecom has installed fourteen sets of broadband multimedia payphone in Taipei International Conference Center. The payphone is an innovative kiosk. Consumers simply need a prepaid IC Telephone Card to enjoy the satisfaction of an ADSL broadband connection using the multimedia kiosk to make phone calls, browse the Internet and send/receive email. Every conferee would have a free 50-point prepaid IC Telephone Card sponsored by Chunghwa Telecom. When the points are running out, new cards may be purchased at the information service counter. |
