GLOBECOM 2002 WPG SERVICE USER GUIDE　

　

This wireless projector service will be used at Room 202 and 203 sessions on Nov. 18. This product will also be showed at exhibition area of Chunghwa Telecom Co. 


WPG users requirement
1. Wi-Fi WLAN card compatible with IEEE 802.11b .
2. Microsoft NetMeeting installed .
3. Display resolution for notebook: 1024x 768 .

User's Guide
1. IEEE 802.11b WLAN Setting
After you have installed Wireless LAN Card. You need to set the Operating Mode and SSID.

　
Step 1. Set the Operating Mode. Go to the Operating Mode and click the down arrow to select Infrastructure.

Specify the SSID as “GLOBECOM” and click on Submit.


2. Start NetMeeting
After you have installed NetMeeting, you can now call-up the program via the Start menu. Select Start | Programs | NetMeeting. If this is the first time you run NetMeeting continue to set the following users data. Otherwise, go to section 3 – “Usage of the Wireless Projector”

　
Step 1. Click on Next.

Enter your first name, last name, and E-mail address and click on Next.

　

　
Step 3. Deactivate the directory server and click on Next.
　

　
Step 4. Activate Local Area Network and click on Next.
　

　
Step 5. Click on Next.
　

　
Step 6. Click on Next.
　

　
Step 7. Click on Next.
　

　
Step 8. Click on Next.
　

　
Step 9. Click on Next.
　

　
Step 10. Click on Finish in the info window.

3. Usage of the Wireless Projector

　
Step 1. The NetMeeting window opens. Click on Place Call.
　

　
Step 2.

Enter the IP Address (provided by section chair) of projector gateway and click on Call

　

　
Step 3. Enter the Password (provided by session chair) to join this meeting and click on OK.
　

　
Step 4. Click on Share Program button.
　

　
Step 5. The application-sharing window opens. Select Desktop and click on Share.
