  The National Palace Museum , situated to the north of  Taipei city , houses the world's finest
collection of Chinese cultural artifacts , and boasts a collection of over 650,000 art objects .
 It is open every day of the year , and to get there ,  you can take buses  304,255,620 or
 213 from various of the city.
  
Pei-Tou Hot Springs
  Pei-Tou was once known as the "Village of Hot Springs" . Although during the Ching dynasty
mining for sulfur started in the Peitou area , the value of hot springs for health reasons was  not
known until the Japanese occupants began to built bathhouses in the area . The most famous
bathhouse in Peitou was the Peitou  Hot Springs Bathhouse , which is now a museum . The
western-style building , with spacious bath and resting areas , was the symbol  of Peitou's
prosperity in the first half of the 20th century . It is within easy walking distance of the
MRT (Metropolitan Rapid Transportation ) Hsin Peitou Station.
 
Night Life & Shopping
  The dynamism and diversity of Taipei can be felt at night , when the pulse of the city shifts
from bustling streets to well-lit night markets , where eating and fun are never in short supply
 . Famous night markets include Huahsi Street Tourist Night Market , not far from Lungshan
Temple , supplies good sea foods . Jaoho Street Tourist Night Market offers desserts and
delicious savory dishes . Shihlin Night Market which sells snacks as well as casual clothes . 
Put and KTV (Karaoke TV ) play another important role Taipei night life.
